CISCO is currently one of the largest computer companies and a leader in the network element market. Among other things, it manufactures both Ethernet and ATM switches, routers, VoIP gateways, and IP phones. Cisco was founded in 1984 by a small group of scientists from Stanford University. It currently employs more than 65,000 people worldwide.
